The patch that appears when the cat rests for a period of time which includes many cool changes
(I cannot guarantee any future updates after this one! But these were necessary changes though,,)
- HIGHLIGHT: The netcode now uses raw UDP instead of GameMaker TCP. This is a big change to how multiplayer works under the hood, which should result in smoother gameplay, and not getting locked out of a server after joining once or twice. This has been tested and confirmed to be reasonably stable, but keep in mind that this is experimental, so if you find any bugs, please report them on the game's community page on itch.io (a video recording of the issue would help a lot too!) File transfer is not guaranteed to work for now.
- HIGHLIGHT: A new gamemode is available: Tag! Hide from players who are IT... The longer you hide, the more points you get. If you're IT, the more players you tag, the more points you get!
- Server logins are now a chat command (/login password), and the menu option has been removed from the pause menu.
- Added a /loaf command for multiplayer. For compatible characters, this switches their sprite to their loaf sprite. For all other characters, this shows their ducking sprite. Use /unloaf to reset your player state back to normal.
- Changed the look of the network screens.
- Added a new killfeed to organise deaths, flag captures, etc.
- Reorganised some multiplayer HUD elements to look a bit neater.
- You should now be able to proceed to the next mod room in multiplayer.
- HIGHLIGHT: Added ability to change the sun, stars, and both cloud layers in the room editor. Older rooms won't be compatible with this change, but the fix is relatively simple; please see below on how to fix your room's mod.json for version 1.0.3.0.
- HIGHLIGHT: New cosmetics are available in the shop!
- Fixed bug where you could go out of bounds in an "isometric" map.
- Fixed Violet's dash collision box (it was way off!)
- Fixed issue where music would change to another track when a player joined a server.
- Fixed issue where a flag would spam the return message when being returned in CTF.
- Fixed oversight where flag captures would not reward points in CTF.
- Fixed issue where the Loaf Time timer would change color which usually indicates overtime in-game.
- Fixed another room mod exploit.
- Enemies destroyed by other players now show their death sprite.
- The chaser no longer repeatedly kills you, bugging out the chasedown mode progression.
How to fix your room for version 1.0.3.0
Add the following to the top of your room's mod.json, after the first curly bracket ({) :
